This call was on April 6, 2025, at around 1:28 am when Meadville City Police were dispatched to the area of Baldwin Street and Park Avenue for a possible DUI. A patron was following a white Volkswagen whom they reported' "was driving all over the roadway."  Meadville City Police found the white Volkswagen as it was parked on Loomis Street with the driver's door open. The passenger had exited the vehicle and walked to the driver's side of the car. Meadville City Police made contact with the driver who was 25-year-old, Arorah Lowe. After a brief interaction with the officer, there were signs of possible driver impairment. Arorah was given the standard field sobriety tests which consist of the horizontal gaze nystagmus, the nine toe to heel steps-turn-and back, and the one leg stand. Each test revealed what are called "clues". The more clues present, the more likely you are under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. She was arrested for driving under suspicion of DUI. She was transported to the hospital where she signed DL-26 and had her blood drawn. Lab results came back on April 22, 2025, and showed she had a BAC of .181. This would explain why she, "was driving all over the roadway."
